Published January 21st, 2024
As part of a winter road trip to Quebec City, we made sure to stop in at North America’s only ice hotel, the Hotel de Glace. It takes dozens of artists to create over nearly two months and spans over 40,000 square feet in sheer size. It attracts visitors from around the world to both take tours and spend the night in this bespoke hotel.
Celebrating their 24th anniversary in 2024, here's our in-depth tour of Quebec's magnificent, astounding, and impressive Hôtel de Glace, including fun facts and figures that are sure to impress you.
The theme changes each year and for 2024, the theme they’ve chosen is "timelines" and the creativity spans across various aspects of the world. From travel to art to fashion to the arts and more, it's truly an experience worth having.
The Hotel de Glace is housed on the grounds of Village Valcartier, a year round attraction that’s much more than a hotel. It’s ideal for families, couples, friends, or even a solo adventure.
Be sure your camera is fully charged when you experience the Hotel de Glace as the cooler temperatures can drain your battery quicker than expected. Gotta make sure you capture images of the intricate artwork here as each year the design and themes change yearly.
